Bambi
One fine morning a fawn was born in a little forest. All the birds and animals came to see him.
"It's happened! A new prince is born!"  Everybody was happy. They asked the mother- "What will you name him?" "Hello, little prince!" the animals called.
The little prince tried to stand  but he flopped right back down.  "I think I'll call him Bambi," she answered.
The forest was filled with friends. They all wanted to play with Bambi.?Bambi walked with his mother meeting the skunk, squirrels and robins. Bambi's mother took him down a path, at the end of which was the green meadow. He went with Bunnies who showed so many new things.
The bunnies showed Bambi a flock of baby bluebirds played in the trees. They taught him to speak and call for birds.
He played with the skunk and called him a flower. Bambi was very happy to play with so many friends. He was at the top of the world..
Bambi was very fast, when he walked with his mother. "You must never rush out onto the meadow!" she scolded. "There might be danger!" Bambi's mother called for Bambi when she was sure that it was safe.
Bambi waited to drink water in a pond, when he saw the reflection on another fawn. "Hello", she said softly. Bambi's mother told Bambi that she was a faline.
Bambi watched Faline nervously.  Faline poked her head through the reeds and licked his face playfully. Soon, they had become best friends.
Suddenly Bambi saw the biggest stag stopped and looked straight at Bambi, who lowered his eyes cautiously. He could feel the great stag's majestic gaze.  The great stag was also Bambi's father.
Suddenly, the peace was shattered by a deafening blast. Bambi thought it was thunder, but it was a gunshot -- humans were in the forest. The animals stampeded, heading for the safety of the trees.  The great stag leaped out in front of Bambi and showed him his mother.
Soon came winter, which was fun at first, but after a while, Bambi longed for the delicious grass and flowers of warm spring days.
Spring brought with it many changes. Bambi was now a handsome young buck with antlers,

But it wasn't long before Bambi himself was twitterpated. While he was drinking from a pond, a strangely familiar reflection appeared in the clear water. "Hello, Bambi!" a sweet voice said. Startled, Bambi stumbled backward, his antlers getting stuck in a branch of blossoms. "Don't you remember me? I'm Faline," the doe giggled. She licked Bambi's face. He suddenly felt dizzy, as if he were light as a feather. Twitterpated! This, he thought, must be what Friend Owl had meant.
Bambi and Faline frolicked together in the warmth of the meadow, just as they had done last summer. Bambi had never been so happy! He closed his eyes dreamily and imagined they were romping through the blue sky in a meadow of clouds.
Another stag appeared and challenged Bambi for Faline. The two locked antlers, tossing each other against the hard ground. Bambi fought fiercely, dangerously close to the edge of a cliff. Then Bambi butted the stag with all his might and sent his rival rolling down a hill to the river. The defeated stag retreated into the forest, leaving Bambi and Faline alone.
From that day on, Bambi and Faline were always together. They ran through the moonlit meadow amid swirls of fireflies and falling blossoms. They made their home in a thicket and lived happily, until one morning Bambi sensed danger in the forest. The humans had returned. The smell of a campfire wafted through the air. "There are many this time," the Great Prince told them. "We must go deep into the forest."
Soon, the day came when Faline lay in the shaded thicket with two little deer at her side. "Well, sir, I don't believe I've ever seen a more likely lookin' pair of fawns!" Friend Owl said. The fawns looked shyly at the crowd. "Prince Bambi ought to be mighty proud," the wise old owl concluded.
Prince Bambi was, indeed, proud. He stood with his father on an outcrop overlooking the thicket where Faline lay with her precious fawns. Bambi, the new Prince of the Forest, would teach his fawns the ways of the world, just as his mother and father had taught him.
And so another year had passed in the forest. Bambi and Faline embarked on a new adventure with their young family. Their life in the forest would never be the same again.
The End.
